Congratulations to the teachers of Sheridan Park Elementary School in Hollywood, Florida for their hard work coming up with a terrific essential question for their GLIDES project! Among their achievements today were "beginning at the end" by thinking about what kind of presentation day they would like to have, developing supporting questions and designing exciting activities for their students!
Tomorrow the students will get their first glimpse of the project and begin the next phase of their adventure! Way to go!!

Thanks for a great first day!
I'm glad you are here to help us :-)
We have started our KWL chart (K and W) and this week we will be ready to do some research!
Way to go Ms. Scott! Keep up the good work!! :-)
Today we watched some great United Streaming videos on recycling and talked about ways in which our school can recycle and conserve our resources. We started to brainstorm ideas in order to make a checklist that will help guide us when we videotape recycling and conservation going on in our school.
Sounds like a great start Ms. Jones! I hope you will share some of your ideas in the "great ideas" section of our blog.
We started our compost bin today. The students were very excited. We also sorted all the garbage in the classroom garbage and had nothing left we could recycle everything. When I went to check the worms at the end of the day they were trying to get out. Oh no!!!! I hope this works.
Sounds like you are off to a great start Ms. Scalese! Keep track of those worms! Count off!
